Should I publish my HTML and CSS projects before learning JavaScript?

I'm currently learning JavaScript after studying HTML and CSS. So far, I've built four small projects using only vanilla HTML and CSS—no Bootstrap, Tailwind, Sass, or other frameworks. Should I publish them on GitHub now to document my progress and begin building a portfolio, or wait until I can create projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript together?

Yes, publish them if you’re happy with what you made. There’s no need to wait until you know JavaScript. Early projects can show your progress, and you can always improve them later or remove weaker ones from your portfolio. GitHub is also useful for practicing version control, not just displaying finished work.

It depends on your goal. If you want to track your learning and practice Git, upload them now. If you’re expecting employers to be impressed, simple HTML and CSS exercises probably won’t be enough by themselves, but they can still be a starting point. Keep building more substantial projects as you learn JavaScript.

Push the projects and keep expanding them over time. Once you learn JavaScript, you can add interactivity to the existing pages instead of waiting for everything to be perfect. Consistent commits and visible improvement can be valuable, and having no portfolio yet means there’s little downside to starting now.

That’s what I was thinking. I could publish the current versions and later add JavaScript features as my skills improve, then include stronger projects alongside them.
