I’d pass on the swap. The performance increase is likely very small, while you would give up Nvidia features such as DLSS, CUDA, and generally stronger ray-tracing and productivity support. The trade might make more sense if your CPU is affected by Nvidia’s driver overhead or if the games you play perform substantially better on AMD, but otherwise it isn’t much of an upgrade.

If you upgrade, aim for a 16GB card rather than moving from one 8GB card to another. That said, the 9060 XT 16GB still may not feel like a dramatic improvement over the 4060 Ti. I’d keep your current card and save for something in a clearly higher performance tier, such as an RX 9070-class card, unless the trade includes extra money or is unusually favorable.

For gaming only, AMD could be worth considering if your favorite games run better on it, but this particular swap doesn’t seem worthwhile. At best, you may gain a modest number of frames while losing some of Nvidia’s software advantages. I’d wait and make a larger upgrade later, especially if you play at 1440p and want enough VRAM for newer games.
