I currently use an RTX 5060 Ti and mainly play Counter-Strike 2, Where Winds Meet, Cyberpunk 2077, and Valorant. I'm thinking about moving from 1080p to 1440p gaming and want to know whether my graphics card is powerful enough or if I should upgrade. My system has a 14th-generation CPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. If an upgrade makes sense, which GPU would be a worthwhile step up?

At 1080p, especially in CS2 and Valorant on low settings, you may be limited by the CPU rather than the GPU. Moving to 1440p will increase the graphics load and could make better use of your 5060 Ti. A 1440p monitor should be the first upgrade, then check your frame rates and GPU usage before replacing the card.
A 5060 Ti can already handle 1440p reasonably well, even in demanding games, as long as you avoid blindly using maximum settings. DLSS Quality can help maintain smoother performance with very little visible image-quality loss. I wouldn’t upgrade immediately unless you specifically want high refresh rates or maximum settings.
The 8GB and 16GB versions are worth distinguishing. The 16GB model is much better suited to 1440p, while the 8GB card may require more compromises in newer games. If you really want a substantial upgrade, look at cards around the RTX 5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070/9070 XT level; anything below that may not feel like a major jump.
If your 5060 Ti has 16GB of VRAM, you should be fine at 1440p. You may need optimized high settings or DLSS Quality in more demanding games, but it should deliver a good experience. I’d buy the monitor first and see whether you actually need more GPU performance.
