I'm planning to build my first gaming PC with a budget of around €2,500. Black Friday is about two months away, and I'm wondering whether waiting could lead to meaningful savings on components. I've seen mixed advice saying that PC parts often aren't discounted enough to justify waiting, so I'd appreciate opinions on whether I should buy now or hold off. I may also need peripherals such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headphones.

If you need the PC soon, I’d buy based on current prices rather than assuming Black Friday will be better. Prices can rise before then, and popular components may not receive meaningful discounts. With a €2,500 budget, you can already build a very capable system without needing a sale.
It’s also worth checking used components or complete systems if you’re comfortable with that. Sometimes older prebuilt inventory is priced competitively compared with buying every part separately. Just verify the warranty, condition, exact components, and power supply before purchasing.
If you’re buying a monitor, keyboard, mouse, or headphones, waiting might be worthwhile because peripherals often get better promotions. I wouldn’t delay the entire build just for the hope of a major discount on core parts, though. Buy components when you find a genuinely good price and make sure the parts are compatible.
That makes sense. I’ll be more open to waiting for peripheral deals, but I won’t depend on Black Friday for the main components.
Black Friday deals on PC components can be inconsistent. Some products get small discounts, while others are marked down from an inflated list price or are slightly different models. Compare the actual product specifications and its price history instead of trusting the advertised percentage off.

Black Friday is still about two months away, so I wasn’t sure prices would change much before then.
