My RX 6700 XT works for a while, then the display suddenly cuts out. The monitor reports "No Signal," while the graphics card's fans ramp up to maximum speed. The card is used and was purchased from an overseas marketplace. I'm trying to determine whether this is caused by a driver or operating-system problem, overheating, or a hardware fault.

Since this is a second-hand RX 6700 XT, a graphics-card hardware problem is a strong possibility. Used cards can have dried thermal paste, worn thermal pads, overheating memory, or other faults. Check temperatures and power connections, test with another cable and display if possible, and reseat the card. If the same failure happens in multiple computers, the card itself is probably defective and should be returned or repaired.
First work out whether the crash depends on GPU load. Try booting from a live USB environment, such as a Linux installer’s “Try” mode or a Windows-based rescue tool. If the card still loses video and the fans go to full speed there, software becomes much less likely. If it stays stable, try a clean operating-system installation after backing up your data.
It is a used card that I ordered from an overseas marketplace, so I’m concerned it may already have a hardware issue.
