After switching from WSL2 to the VMM beta on Windows 11 Pro, the application gets stuck on the "Starting the Docker Engine" message. This has happened on two different devices, and restarting several times hasn't helped. Has anyone else run into this startup problem, or found a reliable workaround?

I’m seeing similar instability. I couldn’t even open the Builds section, so I switched back to WSL2 for now. I’d recommend reverting until the VMM beta is more stable.
This sounds like something the developers should investigate with diagnostic information. If you can reproduce it, collect a diagnostic ID and submit it through the official issue tracker so the team can review the startup failure.
I’ll try to reproduce it on one of my PCs later this week and submit the diagnostic details if it happens again.
