I'm looking for a small camera that can attach to ordinary glasses or sunglasses. The main use would be recording activities with my kids when both hands are occupied, such as in the backyard or around the house. I'm not interested in buying smart glasses, and I'd only use it in situations where everyone present is comfortable being recorded. A compact camera that could also be mounted on a small toy vehicle would be a bonus.

There are camera-equipped glasses and inexpensive alternatives, but they can be difficult for other people to identify and may raise privacy concerns. For private areas such as your home or backyard, a visible action-camera mount is likely to be less awkward and easier to explain.
A GoPro or similar action camera with a head strap or chin strap is probably the simplest solution. It won’t attach directly to your glasses, but it’s designed for hands-free recording and should be more stable and durable than a tiny glasses-mounted camera.
For a toy train or small vehicle, use a lightweight mini action camera or an FPV-style camera secured with a small bracket. Check the weight and balance so the vehicle can still handle ramps and turns.
You could also look at a chest harness or shoulder mount for an action camera. Those options usually produce steadier footage than mounting a camera to glasses, and they’re useful for activities like biking, snowboarding, or playing with kids.
A headband mount could work especially well for hiking, tennis, or other activities where you’re moving around a lot.
