I'm putting together a budget gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 3400G and plan to upgrade the CPU later. For now, I want to play PC games casually alongside my PS5. The system will have an A320 motherboard, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256GB SATA SSD, and a 450W power supply. What graphics card would make sense for this setup without creating a severe bottleneck, and what should I consider upgrading first?

An RTX 3060 would work, but the Ryzen 5 3400G will bottleneck it in a lot of games, especially at 1080p and high refresh rates. It makes more sense if you’re definitely upgrading the CPU and motherboard later. Before installing a powerful GPU, make sure the 450W power supply is a reliable model, since generic units can be risky.
If the CPU upgrade is not happening soon, consider a more modest graphics card instead of buying a 3060 immediately. Also, upgrade the memory to 16GB in a 2x8GB dual-channel kit; 8GB single-channel RAM can noticeably hurt performance with this processor. A future CPU upgrade may also require checking whether the A320 motherboard supports it with a BIOS update.
Since you already plan to replace the processor, choosing the GPU around the future system is reasonable. Just expect lower performance until then, and avoid spending heavily on a graphics card while keeping a questionable 450W PSU. Replacing the power supply with a good-quality unit should be part of the upgrade plan.
The bottleneck won’t necessarily make the system unusable, but the 3400G will stop the RTX 3060 from reaching its full potential in many CPU-heavy games.
