I'm planning a first PC build and want a graphics card mainly for performance with decent visuals. I'm keeping my 27-inch 1440p monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate. Overwatch is my main competitive game, and I'd like to reach around 120 FPS using low settings. I also play single-player games such as Resident Evil, Persona, Cyberpunk, and smaller indie titles. For those, around 60 FPS with good image quality is fine, and ray tracing isn't important to me. What GPU would be a good fit?

For a new card, the RX 9060 XT 16GB or RTX 5060 Ti 16GB should be good options for this target. They can handle competitive games at high frame rates and use upscaling such as FSR or DLSS when needed in more demanding games. If you’re shopping used, an RX 6800 XT, RX 7800 XT, or RTX 4070-class card would also be worth considering.
The RX 9070 or 9070 XT would give you plenty of headroom for 1440p and make it easier to stay near your monitor’s refresh rate in demanding games. The final recommendation depends heavily on your budget and power supply, though. The PSU needs enough wattage and the correct power connectors for the specific card, so check its model and capacity before buying. Also, I’d try to stick with a 16GB card rather than an 8GB model for newer games.

Cyberpunk is probably the best game to use as the performance benchmark from your list. Since Cyberpunk is still a first-person game, aiming above 60 FPS—possibly around 120 FPS—is sensible if your budget allows it.
