I'm looking to spend about $2,000 USD on a gaming and content-creation PC. I'm open to either building one myself or buying a prebuilt. I don't need a system aimed at extremely demanding games, and features like AI upscaling aren't important to me. What parts or prebuilts would you recommend for this budget?

Are you located in the United States, and is there a Micro Center within reasonable driving distance? Local bundle deals can make building a system significantly cheaper, especially for the CPU, motherboard, and memory.
For this budget, a balanced AMD gaming and streaming build would be a strong choice. Something based around a Ryzen 7 7800X3D-class processor, 32GB of memory, a fast 1TB or 2TB NVMe SSD, and a capable upper-midrange graphics card should handle gaming and content creation comfortably. If you can find a Ryzen 5 7600X3D bundle at a good price, that could also leave more room in the budget for the graphics card and storage.
The closest one is roughly one to two hours away, so I’m not sure whether the drive would be worthwhile.
