I'm currently using a custom PC with a Ryzen 5 5600X, ASUS RTX 3060 12GB, MSI B550-A PRO motherboard, and 32GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 CL16 memory. I'm aiming for at least 240 FPS in CS2 and League of Legends, but my system isn't consistently reaching that target. Since I'm already on the AM4 platform, what would be the most worthwhile upgrade—CPU, GPU, or something else? I'd prefer to reuse as much of my current hardware as possible. Let me know if additional information about my settings or monitor would help.

CS2 is generally more limited by CPU performance than by the RTX 3060, especially when targeting very high frame rates. An upgrade to an X3D processor would likely provide the biggest improvement while letting you keep your B550 motherboard, DDR4 memory, and graphics card. A Ryzen 7 5700X3D is usually the practical AM4 choice; just make sure the motherboard BIOS is updated before installing it. The RTX 3060 should be adequate for 240 FPS in League of Legends and can also handle high CS2 frame rates with appropriate competitive settings, although minimum FPS may vary by map, resolution, and background processes.
I haven’t been able to find a 5600X3D for sale. Is the 5700X3D the better option, or are there other CPUs I should consider?
