My Enermax Revolution D.F. 750W recently failed. The system was completely dead with that PSU but booted normally as soon as I installed an older 850W unit, so I'm confident the PSU was the problem.
The current build uses a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 3070 Ti, MSI B550M Mortar, and a Thermaltake CTE T500 TG ARGB Snow case. I'm considering a major future GPU upgrade, potentially using two cards that could draw around 350–400W each.
Rather than buying another 750–850W unit, I'd prefer a high-quality, future-proof PSU in the 1500–1600W range. The case supports power supplies up to roughly 180mm long, which rules out some of the larger models.
My priorities are excellent electrical performance and protections, strong reliability, ATX 3.1 support, enough transient headroom for two powerful GPUs, ideally two native 12V-2x6 connectors, full modularity, and a 10-year warranty. I'm currently considering the 1500W NZXT C1500 Platinum because it is 180mm long and includes two native 600W GPU connectors. The Thermaltake Toughpower TF3 1650W Titanium and older GF3 1650W are also possibilities, though the TF3 appears to include only one native 12+4 GPU cable.
Are there other top-tier 1500–1600W PSUs that fit within 180mm? Which model would you choose based on platform quality, protections, and independent testing rather than efficiency certification alone?

The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 is worth considering from a quality standpoint, but it is around 210mm long, so it will not fit the CTE T500’s 180mm limit. It would only make sense if you changed cases or confirmed that your particular installation had substantially more clearance.
Before going all the way to 1600W, check the electrical circuit where the PC will be used. In North America, sustained loads above roughly 1440W can exceed a typical 15A circuit once voltage and safety margins are considered. The PSU may be capable of that output, but the household wiring and outlet still need to support it.
The ASRock Taichi TC-1650T looks like an especially good match. It is 180mm long, fully modular, ATX 3.1 compliant, Titanium rated, backed by a 10-year warranty, and includes two native 12V-2x6 cables. Its independent testing results also look strong, so it checks most of your requirements without exceeding the case limit.
