What’s the best affordable GPU upgrade from an RX 6600 for 1440p gaming?

My RX 6600 is starting to struggle with newer games, and I'm looking for an upgrade for 1440p at around 60 FPS. My system has a Ryzen 5 7500F, 32 GB of DDR5 memory, and an ASRock B850M Pro-A motherboard. I can't sell my current graphics card, so I'd like to keep the replacement under €400, ideally closer to €300 in Germany. Is there anything worthwhile in that price range, and would I be better off buying new or used?

New cards are limited around €300–€400. An Intel Arc B580 may be available for roughly €400, while an RTX 5060 could also be worth checking. Compare current prices and benchmarks before deciding.

For this budget, a used RX 9060 XT 16GB would be one of the better choices if you can find a good deal. The extra VRAM should also help it age better at 1440p.

Depending on your local used market, an RTX 3070 Ti, RX 6800, RX 7800 XT, or RTX 3080 could offer a large performance increase. The older cards can be good bargains, but check power requirements, card condition, and especially VRAM. The RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 have less VRAM than the AMD alternatives, which may matter in newer games.

Used options such as an RX 9060 XT or RX 7800 XT are worth looking at. The 7800 XT is a stronger card for 1440p, but pricing and availability will determine whether it fits your budget.
