I'm currently using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and want a noticeably faster but still budget-friendly replacement. My processor is an Intel Core i7-9700, and I'd like to stay around a $300 budget. What graphics cards offer the best value today, and are any of them suitable for 1440p gaming?

If you’re comfortable buying used, an RX 6600 is a solid affordable 1080p choice and can often be found for well under $200. It handles most games at medium to high settings, but it isn’t really a 1440p or 4K-focused upgrade.
The Intel Arc B580 is probably the most obvious upgrade in this price range. It has 12GB of VRAM and provides a substantial performance increase over the GTX 1660 SUPER, especially at 1080p. Check current retail prices, though, since memory costs have been pushing budget GPU prices around.
Just make sure your motherboard BIOS supports Resizable BAR and that it’s enabled. Intel Arc cards really benefit from it, and older systems don’t always have it configured by default.
I haven’t upgraded in several years, so I was hoping for something closer to a modern equivalent that could handle 1440p. I may need to adjust my expectations at this budget.
