I'm looking to build a gaming PC mainly for Valorant at 1080p and would like the monitor included. My maximum budget is €3,000, but I'd prefer to spend less if possible. I'm located in Finland, and I'm not particularly interested in demanding AAA games. I also prefer a monitor smaller than 27 inches.

If you want to use more of the budget, stepping up to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a Radeon RX 9070 XT gives you a much stronger, longer-lasting system. It is really designed for 1440p high-refresh gaming, though, so it is overkill for Valorant at 1080p. A 24-inch 1080p high-refresh monitor would still work perfectly if that is the size and resolution you prefer.
€3,000 is far more than you need for Valorant at 1080p. A system built around a Ryzen 5 7500X3D, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB would be more than capable. With a 200 Hz 23.8-inch 1080p monitor, the complete setup would be roughly €2,000, depending on current Finnish prices. You could spend even less if you choose a cheaper graphics card.
You can absolutely pair the more powerful PC with a 1080p monitor. Valorant will run at very high frame rates, and the extra performance gives you plenty of headroom for future games. However, the 1080p display will be the limiting part of that setup, so the cheaper build is the better value unless you plan to upgrade to 1440p later.
Could I use the stronger build with a 1080p monitor? I mostly play competitive games rather than AAA titles, and 27 inches feels too large for me.
