I'm building a new desktop mainly for PUBG and want the cheapest sensible setup that can realistically deliver around 180–240 FPS at 1080p, with 200+ FPS as consistently as possible. I care more about frame rates and 1% lows during hot drops, firefights, and busy areas than maximum graphics quality. Low or medium settings are fine, though I'd use higher settings if performance allows it.
I currently play on a 2022 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 with a Ryzen 9 and RX 6700S, which typically gives me about 50–100 FPS. I already have a monitor and can buy parts in the United States from stores such as Amazon, Micro Center, Newegg, and Best Buy. WiFi is preferred, although Ethernet is available. I have no major size or noise restrictions and don't care about RGB.
I was considering a Ryzen 5 7600X3D or Ryzen 7 7800X3D, paired with an RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1TB SSD, but I'm open to other combinations, including reliable used, refurbished, renewed, or open-box parts. Since PUBG can be CPU-heavy at high frame rates, should I prioritize an X3D processor and save money on the graphics card, or is there a better balance?

A strong X3D CPU with 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory and an RX 9060 XT 16GB is a reasonable performance-focused combination. High-FPS competitive games at 1080p benefit substantially from the extra CPU cache, particularly for frame-time consistency and 1% lows.
The 7800X3D is still a strong value choice if its price is competitive. A newer or faster X3D chip can improve the ceiling, but it may not be worth paying a large premium if the goal is simply to approach 200 FPS in PUBG. The GPU can be reduced somewhat when using low settings, but it still needs enough headroom for demanding areas and for other games.
At 1080p with very high refresh rates, the CPU is likely to be the main limitation, so an X3D processor makes sense—especially if consistent 1% lows matter more than visual quality. A Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a reasonably priced midrange GPU would be a sensible direction.
For cooling, a dual-tower cooler such as the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 or one of its current variants should be more than adequate. Choose a motherboard with built-in WiFi if you want wireless connectivity; Ethernet is already well supported on modern boards. A reputable 650W-or-larger power supply should be sufficient for this class of system, provided it has a good quality rating. A basic airflow-focused micro-ATX case can also save money without hurting performance.
Make sure you check the exact Peerless Assassin model and socket support before ordering, since several versions are sold under similar names.
If you want to spend less than an RX 9060 XT, compare current prices on cards such as the RX 7600 XT or RTX 4060, including open-box options. They may perform similarly in a CPU-limited PUBG setup, but they won’t necessarily match the newer card in every game or at higher settings.
