My laptop has a Ryzen 7 4800H, an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and two 500 GB NVMe SSDs. I mainly play Steam and itch.io indie games, along with Final Fantasy XIV. I'm new to Linux, so I'd prefer something beginner-friendly with reliable NVIDIA driver support and good gaming compatibility.

Fedora KDE would work well too, especially if you want newer software and a polished desktop. However, NVIDIA setup may require extra steps after installation, and occasional updates can need troubleshooting. It’s a good choice if you’re willing to learn, but Mint or Ubuntu may be less intimidating for a first experience.
Ubuntu or one of its official flavors is another solid option. The installer usually offers to install third-party drivers, including NVIDIA support, which makes the initial setup fairly straightforward. Ubuntu-based systems also have plenty of gaming and troubleshooting guides available.
