I finished building my PC today and noticed that it sounds unusually loud. Two of the fans are running around 900 RPM, but the other two are reaching about 2000 RPM even though they are all Arctic P12 Pro fans daisy-chained to the motherboard. What could be causing the difference, and how can I adjust their speeds safely?

The full setup matters here, especially which motherboard header the fans use and whether the fans are 3-pin or 4-pin. If they are 4-pin Arctic fans, use PWM mode rather than voltage control. Also check that the fan curve is based on the CPU or system temperature you actually want; a steep curve can make the fans jump straight to high speed.
Since the fans are daisy-chained, verify that the connection order and header are correct. The motherboard may be reading a temperature sensor that is making that header ramp up, or the fans may not be receiving the same control signal. Check the fan splitter or hub, confirm every connector is fully seated, and compare the BIOS readings for each header.
Check the motherboard BIOS fan-control settings first. Make sure the header those two fans are connected to is set to the correct mode—PWM for 4-pin fans or DC for 3-pin fans—and adjust the fan curve if it is too aggressive. You can also run the motherboard’s automatic fan-tuning or calibration option if it has one.
