I'm running the latest Discord version on Windows 11, but voices in desktop calls sound muffled and are difficult to understand, especially when talking with international friends. The same calls sound crystal clear on my phone. I use wired headphones on my computer and Bluetooth headphones on my phone. What could be causing the desktop audio problem, and how can I fix it?

The fact that your phone sounds clear suggests the issue is somewhere in the Windows or desktop app audio settings rather than the call itself. Try another wired headset or output jack, confirm the audio format and volume mixer settings, and update or reinstall the sound driver if the problem continues.
Since you’re using wired headphones on the computer, Bluetooth interference is probably not the cause. Compare Discord’s selected output device with Windows’ default output, then try disabling Windows audio enhancements and spatial sound. It’s also worth checking Discord’s attenuation and voice-processing settings, since one of those may be making voices sound unusually dull.
