My iPhone 14 behaves strangely when the battery drops to around 20%. The low-battery warning appears repeatedly, and when I plug it in, the percentage jumps to 22% or higher. After unplugging it, the reading quickly falls back to around 18%. The phone is running iOS 26.1, and Battery Health shows 82%. I'm using Apple's standard power adapter with an Anker cable. Is this normal, or does it indicate a battery problem?

This usually points to an aging battery rather than a bad cable or charger. At 82% maximum capacity, the battery can experience more voltage drop under load, which makes iOS recalculate the remaining charge and can cause the percentage to jump or fall quickly near the low-battery threshold.
