I recently moved and built my desktop a while ago. I had been using an older USB Wi‑Fi adapter that was slow but generally reliable. I replaced it with an ROG Wi‑Fi 7 USB adapter, and now the connection drops every minute or two. The adapter is recognized, I installed the manufacturer's drivers, and it is plugged into a USB 3.0 port. When it stays connected, the speed is excellent, but it disconnects before most tests can finish. I've tried several USB ports, and my other devices have no connectivity problems. Windows Device Manager shows no errors, and the built-in troubleshooter hasn't helped. The adapter is an ROG USB-BE92, and the installed driver currently shows version 5002.24.126.2. What settings or troubleshooting steps should I try?

Trying several different USB ports is a reasonable step, but also verify whether the adapter has any detachable antennas or positioning requirements. In this case, the USB-BE92 does not appear to use external antennas, so that particular check may not apply.
Check the exact driver version in Device Manager and compare it with the newest standalone driver package from the manufacturer. Windows sometimes keeps using its own driver even after the vendor’s installer runs. You may need to extract the download and manually select the driver through Device Manager.
I installed the newer driver, but the connection is still dropping constantly.
