Hey everyone! I recently put together a new PC, and I've been noticing that my GPU and CPU usage stays pretty low—usually under 20% when I'm gaming. However, when I use the 3D Mark benchmark, both hit 100%. I've tried reinstalling drivers and disabling G-Sync, but nothing seems to work. The only tweak that improved performance a little was turning off the X3D feature in the BIOS since I've read it doesn't play well with the 7800X3D. My setup includes an RTX 5080, 7800X3D, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5200MHz, on an Aorus X870 Elite motherboard with a Corsair 850W PSU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your system might just be overpowered for the games you're playing. Some games won't push your CPU and GPU to their limits, especially if they aren't demanding. When you run benchmarks, they push everything to 100% to test performance, which is totally normal. Just keep that in mind!
Could you share what games you're testing and at what resolution? That really helps in understanding what might be going on.
I've been playing titles like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 5 and 6, and Overwatch. I’ve tried both 5K and 1080p on my LG UltraGear, but I never see frames exceeding 160.
Make sure you check if V-Sync or any FPS limiters are enabled. If they are, they could be capping your frame rates and affecting utilization.

So is it typical to cap out around 160 FPS then?
