I recently upgraded my PC with an RTX 5060 Ti and an MSI PRO H610M-S motherboard, but the system doesn't seem to recognize the graphics card. Someone suggested that the motherboard might be too old or incompatible with the GPU, although I've already updated the BIOS. Could this actually be a compatibility issue, or should I be checking the installation, power connections, or display settings instead?

A much older H61 motherboard has been used successfully with an RTX 3060, so motherboard age by itself usually isn’t the explanation. Try removing and reseating the GPU, clearing the CMOS, and checking whether it appears in the BIOS or Device Manager. If possible, test the card in another PC or test another GPU in this system to identify whether the card, slot, or power supply is at fault.
That motherboard isn’t inherently too old for the card. The PCIe slot should support a newer GPU, so I’d first check the basics: make sure the card is fully seated in the top x16 slot, connect every required PCIe power cable from the power supply, and plug the monitor into the graphics card rather than the motherboard. Also confirm the PSU has enough power and that the cables are properly inserted.
If the PC starts but displays no image, connect the monitor to the GPU and try another cable or output on the card. You can temporarily use the processor’s integrated graphics to install the latest NVIDIA driver and see whether Windows detects the card. If it still doesn’t appear in BIOS after checking power and seating, the GPU may be defective or the slot could be damaged.
