I recently moved into a new house, and my computer connects to the new Wi-Fi network but shows "No internet, secured." I've already reset the network adapter and Windows network settings and tried several other fixes without success. How can I determine whether the problem is my PC, router, or internet service? A cheap USB Wi-Fi adapter is a useful test before paying for service. If the USB adapter connects successfully, the computer’s built-in wireless adapter, driver, or adapter settings are likely the issue. If it has the same problem, check the router or internet service instead.
First check whether the internet service itself is active. Try connecting your phone or another device to the same Wi-Fi. If nothing has internet, plug the computer directly into the modem or router with Ethernet if possible. If that also fails, contact your internet provider or confirm that service was activated at the new house. A network technician can help if the provider confirms the connection is working.
If other devices work normally, the problem is probably limited to the PC. You can also try setting DNS manually to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Check for a Wi-Fi driver update as well.
