The system has an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM, 16GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. My budget is roughly $750–$800, and I'd ideally like around 180 FPS, especially at competitive settings. Would this prebuilt be a good choice, or would building a PC myself give me better performance for the money?

You should be able to get close to or above 180 FPS in Fortnite if you use Performance Mode or lower competitive settings. At high or epic settings, the frame rate will be lower, so don’t judge the system by the GPU alone. Also check whether the prebuilt includes two sticks of RAM, since dual-channel memory helps performance.
That setup should run Fortnite well, and 150+ FPS is realistic with performance or competitive settings. Your exact frame rate will depend on resolution, graphics settings, and whether the 5060 is paired with a high-refresh monitor.
The graphics card is reasonable, but the Ryzen 7 8700F isn’t the best value for a gaming-focused build. A Ryzen 5 7500F or 7600 usually makes more sense and can perform better in games, especially when you’re targeting very high FPS. Building the system yourself may also let you fit stronger parts into an $800 budget.
