I was attempting to install Arch Linux on my NVMe drive using a flash drive, but I mistakenly selected my Windows drive for the installation. This essentially wiped the entire drive, and I replaced it with a boot partition and a Linux partition. Now I'm struggling to recover my Windows data and I'm not very skilled at using tools like PhotoRec and TestDisk. Can anyone advise if there's any way to recover my Windows drive after writing 2GB to the newly created partition?

One option is to finish your Arch installation to set up a working operating system. Once installed, you can diagnose and see what else might be recoverable. Just keep in mind, if Windows is indeed overwritten, it might be toast. But having Arch up might at least help you explore your options better.
Honestly, it sounds like recovering your data might be a long shot. If you've overwritten the Windows data partition, chances are that much of it is gone for good. You could try using a recovery tool, but remember that data overwritten is usually unrecoverable. There are professional services, but they can be really pricey and might not guarantee success either.
If you have another working PC, there's a chance you could recover some personal files if they weren't completely overwritten. However, be prepared that you will likely need to reinstall Windows at some point regardless.
