I'm planning to build a gaming PC in the UK with a budget of around £2,000 to £2,500. I primarily want to use it for gaming and sim racing at 4K resolution with 60 fps or higher, and there's a chance I'll also dive into music production later on. Here's the hardware I'm currently considering:
- CPU: Intel i7-14700KF
- GPU: 16GB NVIDIA 5070TI or AMD Ryzen 9070
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z790-P
- RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 6000Mhz CL30
- SSD: 2TB Samsung 990 Pro.
I already have a monitor (Samsung Odyssey Neo G8), and I want to ensure this build remains relevant for a few years. I've been learning about available options and what works best for gaming versus multi-processing. I'd love some advice or recommendations I may have overlooked or thoughts on whether my current selection fits my needs.

I'd suggest going with an AM5 build for better future upgrades. The Intel LGA 1700 socket won’t be around for long, so any future upgrades would need a new motherboard. An AM5 setup could have a few more releases down the line. Your current build plan is solid, especially for under £2k!
Check out this alternative build: [PCPartPicker Link](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3DW6R4) — it might offer some cool ideas or components to consider!
I'd definitely go with an AMD option – maybe the 9800X3D with the 9070XT or the 5070ti if you need those specific features later.
I have the same monitor, and it's fantastic! Your specs look good, but many recommend AMD CPUs, especially the X3D chips, for gaming performance. If you decide on the 9070, make sure to go for the XT version. If you're leaning towards the 5070ti, that’s great for ray tracing.

Totally! This setup has future-proofing written all over it.
