Advice for Launching a New Social Media Platform

Hey everyone! I'm based in Florida and I'm gearing up to launch a new social media platform. I'm really looking for some advice on development. My plan is to create something similar to Instagram or Twitter just to get it up and running as quickly as possible.

I've heard there are existing code templates or clones on GitHub that could help me, but I'm not sure if I fully understand that. My background is mostly in design with skills in UX principles, usability, and other design aspects, but I don't have any coding experience aside from tweaking HTML for emails.

What I'm looking for is a rough estimate on how long it might take to get something like this live. I'm aiming for a very basic app with features like profiles, media posting, likes, comments, and the ability to share news from external sites. I'd really like to have this as a skeleton version to begin with.

I want to ensure that when the app goes live, it can handle a significant user base right from the start without crashing. Does anyone know if these code templates really exist? Or would I need to develop everything from scratch? Any advice would be super helpful!

Building a platform like Instagram or Twitter can be relatively straightforward when you focus on the coding side of things. The real challenge lies in handling massive amounts of data as user numbers grow. If you want a seamless experience for a large audience, ensure your backend can manage the load from day one.

I totally get that. The plan is to keep things simple initially, but I do want to be prepared for potential growth. Are there any specific templates you've seen on GitHub that could be a good starting point?
