I'm in the process of planning a migration of our OSD provisioning workflow from Ivanti to SCCM. The primary reason for this switch is that we can't transition to Autopilot just yet. I'm reaching out for advice from anyone who has experience with this migration. What challenges did you face, any unexpected issues that came up, or valuable lessons you learned along the way? Additionally, any recommendations on tools, changes in processes, or things you wished you had known beforehand would be extremely helpful!

SCCM can really shine if you set it up properly. I managed over 40,000 devices using it, and overall, it did a great job. Just make sure you do your research before jumping in. We eventually transitioned to Autopilot, and it was a positive move for us!
Honestly, I’d be cautious about migrating to SCCM. In 2026, it might not be the best platform for the future. If there’s a reason you can’t move to Intune or Autopilot, it might be worth sticking with Ivanti until you figure that out. Just my two cents!
You might want to check why you can't move to Autopilot. Addressing those issues could save you from migrating to SCCM, which many consider outdated now. It might be better to resolve that problem instead of shifting to another platform that could face similar challenges in the future.

That’s a good point! We’ve been looking into the Autopilot issues but have hit a few roadblocks. Getting those resolved would definitely be preferable to a major migration.
