Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a high-end custom gaming PC primarily for games like Rust and Total War: Warhammer 3. I want something that will last me a while without needing major upgrades. I'm considering going a bit overboard with 64GB of Corsair RAM since it's on sale, but I'm also keen on having a quiet setup. I've put together the following parts with help from a tool:
- Corsair 7000D AIRFLOW case
- MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI motherboard
- WD Black SN8100 4TB SSD
- PowerColor HellHound Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB graphics card
- Be Quiet! Silent Loop 3 360 water cooling
- Seagate BarraCuda 2TB hard drive
- Microsoft Windows 11 Home
- Corsair 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM
- Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 modular 1600W power supply
- Intel Core i9-14900K processor
- Corsair RS140 MAX Thick case fans (four total)

Would love to hear any tips, advice, or things I should watch out for. Thanks a bunch!

For future-proofing, get a good AM5 motherboard with plenty of PCIe 5.0 lanes and USB4 ports. This setup will make it easier to upgrade your CPU down the line, especially with AMD planning to support this socket for several generations.

I’d recommend double-checking your parts selection. The Corsair case is massive, which could lead to noise issues despite good airflow. Consider a different case like a Fractal Meshify or a Lian Li Lancool; they’re quieter and have better airflow efficiency. Also, 1600W on the PSU is overkill unless you plan on running multiple GPUs.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll look into those cases and see if a lower wattage PSU fits my build.

If you're aiming for a quiet PC, I’d reconsider using the i9-14900K and the 7900XTX; they're known to be power-hungry and loud under load. You could go for a 9800X3D CPU and a 5070Ti GPU instead, which provide similar performance but are way more efficient and quieter. Trust me, your ears will thank you!

Absolutely! Plus, these options might save you some power costs over time. Great call!
