Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC for video editing and 3D modeling, and I'd love to get your advice on hardware selections. I've been using my laptop for about 7 years, and now I'm looking for something more powerful that can last even longer. My main editing will be in 1080p, but I want the ability to handle 4K editing as well. I'll be primarily using DaVinci Resolve for video editing and Fusion 360 for 3D design and CNC programming. I'm aiming to build my PC within a budget of $1000-$1300. Gaming performance doesn't matter to me, and I already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Here's what I've considered so far:
- GPU: RX 9070 (or variants)
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9700x
- RAM: 32 GB (looking for suggestions on specs)
- Storage: Minimum 2TB SSD (Gen 4, but I need to understand types)
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 Evo
- PSU: Something upgradable
- Motherboard: Upgradable and Wi-Fi compatible
- Case: Preferably something that doesn't cost extra for looks
If anything seems excessive, insufficient, or if you have suggestions for better options, please let me know. I'm also thinking about getting the CPU and GPU from eBay or Facebook Marketplace to save some cash, so I'd appreciate your thoughts on that too. Thanks!

I think your GPU choice is solid, but keep in mind that the RX 9070 has been receiving mixed reviews lately, especially regarding performance with certain software. If you're heavily into 3D modeling and rendering, an Intel CPU might offer better performance for those single-core tasks. Have you considered the Intel Ultra 7? Also, I'd recommend making sure your RAM is at least 3200 MHz for better performance with DaVinci Resolve and Fusion 360.

Why the Intel CPU instead of an AMD one? Is it the number of cores?
