I'm just getting started on building my first gaming PC and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed choosing the right parts. So far, I'm leaning towards the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and the ASUS TUF X870E-PLUS WIFI7, but that's all I've settled on. I'm aiming for a sleek black setup with some RGB lighting to make it look good.
For the GPU, I was considering the Radeon RX 9070 XT, but I'm unsure if I should opt for NVIDIA instead. My current focus is on gaming, but in a few years, I plan to dive into machine learning and data-related tasks as part of my major. I'm not sure if that makes NVIDIA a better long-term investment.
I have a basic Kingston M.2 SSD for now and a GameMax VP-700-RGB PSU from my old setup, but I'm worried that 700W might not cut it for this build. Should I look into replacing it? I'd appreciate any recommendations for a complete parts list or any general advice! Thanks!

If gaming is your main focus right now, you might want to save some bucks and consider the 9800X3D or 9850X3D instead. These CPUs perform really well for gaming and can handle tasks outside gaming too. Also, while the RX 9070 XT is solid for gaming, NVIDIA GPUs are generally favored when it comes to machine learning.
As for that power supply, steer clear of GameMax; they don't have a great reputation. Make sure you get at least a B-tier PSU for reliability.
Also, just a heads up, asking for a full parts list isn't the best idea in some forums, but you could find more tailored help elsewhere if you need it!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into better PSU options.
