I'm in the process of building my first PC and I'm a bit lost. I'm considering using the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X, which is a 12-core processor clocked at 4.4GHz, paired with the GIGABYTE B850 AORUS Elite WIFI 7 motherboard. For RAM, I'm looking at 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000 (2x 16GB). I also plan to have a 2TB SSD.
Alternatively, I'm thinking about the 5070 Ti with 16 GB alongside the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an 8-core processor running at 4.2GHz. I'm curious if both setups will work well together and which one I should choose. Additionally, what kind of monitor should I get that complements either option?

If you're using Windows, both options should work well. Just keep in mind that if you plan to use any Linux distributions, Nvidia graphics cards can be a bit tricky. As for the monitor, I would recommend going for a 144Hz refresh rate at a minimum for gaming, with a resolution of 1440p. It would give you a great balance of clarity and performance!
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is actually better for gaming than the 9900X, so it might be worth going with that if gaming is your main focus. Also, consider checking out the 9070 XT as a cost-effective alternative; it often offers similar performance at a lower price if budget is a concern.

Yeah, I agree! For gaming, 1440p at 144Hz is perfect. You might also want to consider an IPS panel for better colors.
