Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to building PCs, and I'd love your insights. I built my system primarily for music production (I work with artists like Gunna), so having a quiet and efficient setup is crucial during recording sessions. I want to avoid anything that might disrupt my audio drivers or introduce latency issues. However, I'd also like to dabble in some gaming on the side, specifically titles like Fortnite, though that's not my main focus.
Here's my current build:
- CPU: Intel i5-12600K
- Mobo: ASUS Z790-P
- RAM: DDR5 G.Skill Trident
- Cooling: A big Noctua fan to maintain low noise levels
I think I have a 650W power supply—should I consider upgrading that as well? I'm on a somewhat tight budget and open to used options, but I really need guidance on what GPU would suit my needs without affecting my audio setup, and that can flexibly handle some light to moderate gaming.

You might want to check out options like the RX 6600 or the Intel ARC B580. They're both pretty affordable and should work well for your needs.
Thanks a lot! That sounds good. I was also considering the GeForce 3070; do you think that might be overkill, or is it worth investing in for future-proofing?
