Advice Needed for My First Desktop PC Build: Cooling and More

Hey there! I'm a complete newbie building my first desktop PC after years of using laptops. I've got some parts already, including an MSI GPU and AMD CPU, but I'm looking for guidance on a few remaining components. I still need to buy an SSD, RAM, a case, and cooling solutions (like a CPU cooler and case fans). Here are my main questions: 1. Am I missing any essential components? 2. For RAM, I'm checking out brands like Kingston, Corsair, and G.Skill aiming for 6000 MHz CL30, but I'm torn between getting 32 GB or 64 GB. I mostly game and do some light video editing. 3. As someone with limited knowledge on cooling, I'd like to know if 2x360 mm fans and one case fan are sufficient, plus I'm leaning towards liquid cooling. 4. Lastly, what should I consider regarding case design and airflow? I'm aiming for a stable and long-lasting gaming system, so all advice is welcome! Thanks!

You're on the right track! For RAM, go with 32 GB; it’s more than enough for gaming and casual video editing. Just make sure to pick something with 6000 MHz CL30 or CL32, whichever is cheaper. As for cooling, given that this is your first build, I’d recommend starting with a quality air cooler instead of going for liquid cooling. And honestly, don’t stress too much over the case—just pick one with good reviews on cable management and airflow. And yeah, if the case comes with fans, use those, but consider Corsair fans if you want something quieter and efficient! Just remember, components evolve quickly, so don't worry too much about future relevance!

Thanks for the tips! Since I'm not assembling it myself, I'm probably leaning more towards liquid cooling since that's what my friend suggested. Aesthetics are important to me too since the case will be on my desk while I work from home.

Totally get that! A good-looking case can make a difference when you see it all day. Just keep an eye on airflow and cooling, especially if you're gaming a lot.

For your build, I'd suggest the Kingston NV3 NVME SSD and Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2x16) RAM. The Corsair 4000D case is excellent for airflow, so you don't have to worry too much there. As for cooling, the Thermalright Aqua Elite 240mm would work well for you. In terms of RAM, 32 GB is sufficient for your needs—64 GB might be overkill, especially considering the price difference.

Appreciate your suggestions! I’m leaning towards a glass case like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO. I like how it looks, and I’ve been tracking prices for Kingston and Corsair Vengeance already.
