Advice Needed for My First PC Build!

Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my first PC after a tough couple of years, and I want to treat myself to a solid setup. I've never done this before – I've always just gotten used machines from friends. I've done some research and talked to a few pals, but I'd love to get your input before I make any purchases. I'm particularly focused on whether you think my parts are a good choice or if there's anything you'd change based on your own experiences. Also, if you have suggestions for a monitor to complement my setup, I'd really appreciate that too! I'm mainly into gaming, from high-end graphics to indie titles, and I might return to video editing occasionally. Money isn't really a constraint, but I prefer not to overspend unnecessarily. Here's my list:

- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 9700X3D 4.7 GHz 8-core
- **Cooler:** Thermalite Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Extra cooling:** Corsair RS 120 ARGB 72.7 cfm
- **Motherboard:** X870E Aorus Pro Ice ATX AM5
- **Memory:** Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6600 CL32
- **Storage:** Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB PCle 4.0
- **GPU:** RX 9070 XT 16 GB
- **Power Supply:** Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 Snow 850 W
- **OS:** Windows 11 Pro

Also, I've chosen all white components, so that's influenced some of my choices based on what's available.

Narrowing it down to the B850 and some 6000MHz CL30 RAM sounds like a solid move. The rest of your build looks pretty good, just make those changes and you’ll be in great shape for gaming and editing!

Thanks for the advice! The repeated feedback on the motherboard makes me think it's the right call.

I think the X870E motherboard is a bit of an overkill for a gaming setup. A B850 would be more than sufficient and save you some cash. Also, consider switching to CL30 RAM instead of CL32 for better performance. The Corsair fans you picked are nice but a bit pricey for basic ARGB. You might want to check out some Thermalright options for more value. Just my two cents!

I've heard others suggest the B850 too, so I'll definitely look into it!

If you're not too worried about cost, why not grab the Aorus 5090 and an Asus extreme AIO? Lian Li fans are awesome too, and the Evo XL case is pretty cool. But hey, if you're trying to stick to a budget, then I get that!

I appreciate the suggestion, but I don’t think that upsell aligns with my gaming needs versus the price.
