Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC since I built one back in 2014 with a GTX 780. Given that I don't upgrade often, I'm looking to future-proof my setup a bit. I'm planning to use a 1440 monitor resolution, and I'm considering exchanging my current Palit RTX 5080 for either the Asus Prime, ROG Astral, Ventus 3X, or possibly even springing for a 5090 if my budget allows. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I'd suggest not going for that expensive motherboard unless you really need its specific features. You could easily find a decent B850 for around $150-$200 that will do the job just fine. Also, make sure to get RAM that performs at 6000MHz CL30 if you can find it. And about that RTX 5080—don’t pay $1522 for it! You should be able to find it for about $1000. Lastly, the Corsair 6500X case is a bit overpriced for the quality; maybe consider something like the NZXT H6 Flow instead.
If you're going for a cooler, the Arctic Freezer III Pro AIO is a great alternative over the Corsair cooler—much better value. And about the case, a nice one can be found for around $100, but it won't have fans included. Think about your cooling system! If you're set on a smaller case, maybe look at the Asus GT502, it's got a nice build.
Are you based in the US? If so, I’ve seen PNY 5080s listed for around $1000. It might be worth checking out if you're looking for a better deal! But I get it; the Palit is the easiest option for you.
