Advice Needed for Upgrading My PC Build Step by Step

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC gradually, starting with some existing parts I already have. I'm currently using a lower-end prebuilt setup with an Intel i3-13100F, RX 6600 8GB, and 16GB of DDR4, which has been fine for 1080p gaming. However, I want to step up to 1440p in preparation for upcoming games like Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, but my budget doesn't allow for a complete overhaul right now.

Here's my plan:

1. Replace the Intel CPU and switch to a Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 motherboard and a Ryzen 5 9600X.
2. Upgrade to a better PSU to ensure stable power for the new components—I've got a few options in mind, but I'm not sure which one is best.
3. For now, I'll keep using the RX 6600, RAM, and storage from my current setup until I can afford an RX 9070XT and 32GB of DDR5 RAM.

I just want to make sure I'm on the right track, especially with the PSU requirements. Is 750W enough, or should I go for something higher? I've seen terms like "ATX 3.0 compatible" and "multi/single rail switchable" regarding PSUs, and I'm really confused by all that. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think €250 for a Gigabyte X870 is a bit steep. It's a lower-tier board and should cost under €200. If USB4 isn't crucial for you, consider a B850 board instead. Also, about the PSU, 1200W is way too much; you'd be fine with something much lower given your current and future plans.
