I'm about to build my first PC and I'm looking for some advice on CPU and GPU choices that give good value for money. Initially, I was set on the Ryzen 5 7600X3D and RX 9070 XT, but with prices going up, I'm now considering the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. However, I've come across mixed opinions that suggest AMD might not be the best choice for gamers, with some claiming that Intel/Nvidia setups are more reliable. I've seen comments about AMD's benchmarks being biased and not showing issues like sudden stuttering. I'm confused now since AMD sounded like a great option before. I mainly play FPS games and intend to have my settings on low for better performance, while also wanting good quality for story-driven games. I'm not looking to wait for prices to drop again, as I'm tired of gaming at 50 fps!

If you stumbled across Userbenchmark, I’d ignore that site entirely. The Ryzen 7600X3D often gets rave reviews, and if you have a Microcenter nearby, it was a steal at around $200 when I purchased it. It’s such a solid choice for performance!

Yeah, I saw that too! But is it really as bad as they say? I'm unsure if I can trust that site anymore.
