I'm currently an athlete, but I've been passionate about programming long before COVID became a thing. I have some knowledge of ReactJS and Next.js, but I often find myself struggling to create real projects and tend to get stuck while trying to learn or work on my own. I'm aiming to start programming as a side hustle now, with the goal of transitioning into full-time programming after my athletic career. Is continuing to focus on React and Next.js the right route for freelancing? Are there other programming paths that would be better suited for side projects that could make money? I'd love to hear advice from anyone who has made a similar transition!

Sticking with React is a solid choice! I recommend also diving into some backend development and getting familiar with databases; they'll definitely come in handy. Best of luck with your journey!
