I'm getting back into PC building after a long break and need some advice on RAM compatibility for my new setup. I'm planning to use an AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D CPU with a Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite motherboard, and I'm considering Crucial's Pro 32 GB DDR5-6400 CL32 memory. I've read that memory speed and CAS latency can have a significant impact on performance, especially with the latest components. Since I'll be using this PC for both gaming and productivity, I'm wondering if 6400MHz is a solid choice for this build, or would I be better off with a lower speed and CL rating for better stability? I just want to make sure I invest wisely in RAM given its current price. Thanks for your help!

With X3D chips, RAM latency isn't as crucial as it might be with other CPUs. If you can afford it, go with CL30 or CL36 at least at 6000MT/s, but honestly, good DDR5 brands should perform decently regardless of the latency if you're using an X3D. If you weren't getting an X3D, I'd definitely recommend CL30/CL36 instead.
