Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a gaming PC for my 10-year-old son since he has been saving up for a while. His birthday is in September, and I plan to spend around 1000€ plus the cool be quiet! Dark Base Pro 901 case we already bought. I'm curious whether I should start building now and possibly snag some deals on Prime Day, or if it's better to wait until his birthday in September. I'm aiming for a highly upgradeable setup so he can enjoy it for the next decade. Also, since the case has a glass window, I'd love to incorporate some RGB lighting to match its white aesthetic, but that's not a dealbreaker. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

Here’s a build I found that could work great for your needs: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FDw43w). The Ryzen 7000 series is a solid choice and provides an excellent upgrade path. It's perfect if you're looking for gaming longevity; the Ryzen 7800x3D is especially top-notch for gaming right now! And don’t hesitate to ask for more help on r/buildapcforme!
Honestly, prices are pretty decent right now, so I wouldn't wait until September. The market can be really unpredictable, and it’s usually better to buy when you see good prices. You could even post your build on r/buildapcforme to get some more specific recommendations on components!
You’re right, prices haven't been great since 2020. Best to grab what you can while it’s affordable!
Thanks for the link! Quick question—can I just move my original post to r/buildapcforme, or do I need to make a new post there?
