I've started streaming a few months ago, and I've noticed some FPS drops while gaming. I'm considering upgrading my graphics card to a 5080, but I'm wondering if a 5070 Ti with 16GB of VRAM would be sufficient instead. I'm also unsure if my CPU is still good and if I should attempt to change it myself. Here's my current setup: Intel Core i9-11900F, ASUS ROG Strix B560-G motherboard, MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 32GB RAM, 1TB Samsung SSD, 2TB HDD, 850W PSU, and a be quiet! CPU cooler. What do you think?

Absolutely time for a GPU upgrade! You're right on track. The 5070 Ti would work well, but you’ll definitely notice improvements with a 5080 if your budget allows.
It sounds like the 5070 Ti would be more than enough for your needs. Just make sure to check if the frame drops are happening during gameplay or just in the stream. If they're only occurring on your end, it might be worth looking into optimizing your streaming settings instead.
Mainly it's during gameplay on my side, but sometimes there are slight drops during loading screens.
Your current setup seems capable of supporting the 5070 Ti or even the 5080. However, if you're trying to save money and don't need the extra performance right away, the 5070 Ti is definitely a solid choice. I personally think the performance jump to the 5080 isn't worth the extra cost unless you really have the budget for it. You might eventually want to upgrade your CPU and motherboard too, but for now, just go with the GPU upgrade and plan for those later.
Thanks for the insight! I'm just worried about doing a CPU change; is it as complicated as it sounds?

Yeah, I agree! I'm leaning toward that decision too.
