I recently salvaged a 1000GB hard drive from an old laptop, and it seems to be functional. Since I'm just starting out with this tech stuff, I'd love some guidance on what I can do with it. Should I try to sell it, or would it be better to use it in my old gaming PC that I have sitting around? I also thought about using it as an external storage device or recycling it. Additionally, are there any specific details I should look for, like on the sticker or do I need to plug it in to find out more?

One option is to install it in your old laptop, but if that laptop has battery issues, it might be better to look elsewhere. If your current laptop already has an SSD, maybe consider using it for a different purpose instead.

Yeah, the laptop I salvaged it from has some problems, so I was thinking about other uses.
