Am I Being Hacked? Strange Vibrations and Camera Issues on My Phone!

Hey everyone, I really need some help with my Samsung S20. This morning, when I picked up my phone for the first time, I noticed it was vibrating even though it was on silent mode, like I had received a notification. But there was nothing there. This strange vibration kept happening throughout the morning. Then, things took a turn—my phone seemed to be taking pictures with the front camera without me doing anything! I saw that black circle around the camera and felt the vibration again. At the same time, my location was updating randomly, and it felt like the phone was just acting on its own. I thought maybe it was because of some app, but I haven't downloaded anything suspicious. I'm worried that someone might be hacking my phone, especially since no money has been taken from my account. I noticed this kept happening while I was using certain apps and even sometimes when I was just on the home screen. Now, the vibrations have stopped entirely. Can anyone shed some light on this? What should I do? Thanks in advance!

I think this might be harmless, but I get your concern! Try the suggestion about disabling haptic feedback. Just to be on the safe side, make sure your passwords are secure and consider enabling two-factor authentication wherever possible. If the issue persists, you could think about doing a factory reset on your phone. Also, keep in mind that since the S20 is nearing the end of its security updates, you might want to think about upgrading soon!

It sounds like you might just need to turn off the haptic feedback feature. Sometimes it vibrates when you type or even if you're just navigating through your phone. As for the camera, there's a small green light that should turn on when any app is using it, so keep an eye on that. Check your settings to see if any apps have permission to access the camera or location and revoke those permissions if needed.

Whoa, I’m experiencing something similar! Every time I open Snapchat, it seems like my camera activates without me wanting it to. If you find out more about this, I’d love to hear it. Maybe we can figure this out together!
