I just started building my first gaming PC and things were going well until I tried to fit the motherboard into the case. I struggled a bit to get the standoffs aligned with the screw holes and during this process, I read a comment warning about moving the motherboard around because it could get scratched. Unfortunately, I noticed some scratches on the board when I flipped it over. I'm really concerned that I might have damaged it. Three of the standoff holes have scratches, and the middle one looks the worst. I'm hesitant to proceed further because I'm worried it might affect the components.
I've shared some pictures of the scratches in another post if anyone wants to check them out. Any advice would really help!

I understand your concern! It's always nerve-wracking with new builds. Just make sure the scratches aren't too deep and avoid any critical areas—they can be quite resilient. If it doesn’t boot when you set everything up, just double-check the connections.
No worries! Those scratches are usually just protective blobs and often, boards can survive a little scuffing. You might want to try building the board outside the case first and see if it boots up. Just keep an eye out for any visible damage to the copper lines on the board—if those are fine, you're likely in good shape.
Honestly, it’s very unlikely you’ve ruined anything. I looked at your pictures, and I'm confident it's more like a low-risk situation! Motherboards are tougher than people think, so don’t stress too much. Just handle it gently moving forward.
