I'm putting together my first gaming PC and I'm aiming for great performance at 1440p in competitive shooters like R6 Siege and Marvel Rivals. My budget is around 2000 AUD (about 1,300 USD) for the parts and case, but I'm willing to go a bit over if necessary. I'd like some advice on whether my setup is worth the money. Also, should I invest more in additional case fans? Here's my build link: [Build Link](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Bxstsp)

I looked at your build and made a few tweaks. You could swap to a faster CPU and a newer motherboard by choosing more affordable RAM, a cheaper 2TB SSD, and a different RX 7800 XT model. If you're okay with updating the motherboard's BIOS before putting in the CPU, you might be able to return to the original motherboard you picked. The DRAM cache can help with performance, especially if you're using it for gaming. Still, if you can find a similar SSD without it at a lower price, it might be worth considering. Cooling is always good, but if the performance is there, you’ll be fine.
Your build is decent, but you can save a bit of cash without changing too many components. Check out this suggested build that comes under budget: [Cost-Effective Build](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/h47B9C). You get a solid CPU and be mindful of getting good components without overspending.
Hey, just a suggestion—consider getting a better CPU and power supply. You can also look into cheaper RAM and SSD options. I’ve seen some decent pre-built PCs on Ozbargain for around 2k with good specs, like the 7800X3D and 5070. Here's a link to one: [Prebuilt Options](https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/T3xmBq)
Your parts look solid. If you're open to used components, definitely check sites like Facebook Marketplace. You might find a good deal on GPUs there, especially NVIDIA ones. Just a thought!
Yeah, I looked into the used market, but it’s pretty sparse for GPUs around here, especially for the 7800 XT. Appreciate the suggestion, though!
Thanks for that! I'm interested in that Silicon Power RAM, too. I picked my SSD because it has DRAM cache—do you think that's worth keeping? I’ve heard the Sapphire card has good cooling, but I'm not sure how much that matters for my build.
