Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind. I was trying to recover some photos using PhotoRec on my SanDisk USB drive, but I accidentally saved the recovered files back onto the USB instead of my computer. Now, the same images keep coming up repeatedly when I attempt recovery. I thought I could fix the issue, but I ended up trying to recover from my computer instead, and I'm worried that I've lost the original photos forever. Is there any hope for recovering my files?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you might have overwritten the data on your USB drive. When you save new files to a drive from which you're trying to recover data, it can replace the original files, making recovery really tough. I wish I had better news, but if that's the case, the original photos are likely lost...
So if I have the photos on my computer now, should I just run another recovery tool to see what else I can save?
