Issues with Bartender 10.0 SR2 VBScript After Windows Update

I'm using Bartender 10.0 SR2 from Seagull Scientific for printing labels, and since the cumulative Windows update in August 2025, I've encountered a problem with the print station, specifically related to labels that use VBScript. When I attempt to print, I receive this error message:

**One or more objects requires the use of Visual Basic scripting. You currently have installed a version of Visual Basic scripting earlier than version 2.0. BarTender requires Visual Basic scripting 2.0 or greater. Please run the BarTender setup program to install the correct version of Visual Basic scripting.**

It looks like the issue is due to a Microsoft update that changed the VBScript version from 5.812.10240.16384 to 10.0.26100.4768. I'm concerned that Bartender is only reading the first digit of the version number, interpreting '10' as '1', which causes it to think it's less than 2. I'm wondering how Bartender checks the VBScript version and if there's a way to get it to recognize the correct version or if there's a workaround to override this check since I can't update Bartender yet while we're transitioning our MRP software from AX 2009 to D365.

You might want to consider filing a support request with Seagull Scientific. They should be able to help clarify how the version validation works. However, I understand you mentioned you don't currently have support with them since your version is end-of-life. That could complicate things a bit.

I believe VBScript is indeed being phased out by Windows, possibly not being included by default in future updates. Using VBScript in 2025 definitely feels outdated. You might want to look into alternatives for your label printing or check if there's a way to handle these version checks in your setup.
