Am I wrong for coding the old-fashioned way?

Hey folks, AI is advancing really fast these days, and it seems like everyone at my workplace is heavily relying on it. They're just hitting 'tab' for auto-completion without much thought. I'm different, though—I like to think and code on my own. Recently, I compared my code with some output from an AI, and honestly, the AI does things better than I do. My instincts tell me to stick to my own coding style, but since everyone else is finishing their tasks quickly with AI, I'm starting to wonder if it's time for me to change my approach. What do you think?

Honestly, I think you're doing the right thing by not diving headfirst into just using AI to speed things up. Sure, it might feel like you're lagging behind, but quality coding and understanding the fundamentals are super important. You might want to strike a balance between your personal style and the efficiency that tools like AI offer, but never lose your unique approach!

Totally agree! It’s great to learn from AI, but you shouldn’t compromise your coding style.
